Optimizing YouTube Videos

        Optimizing YouTube Videos

YouTube Logo
Not sure if your business should have a YouTube channel?
YouTube is the 2nd most popular and used search engine, with more searches than both Bing and Yahoo.
Yes, your business should most definitely have well branded presence on YouTube. YouTube can be one of your most powerful  tools for  engaging with customers. To reach your customers, you need to make sure that your customers can find your videos and even drive them back to your website.

SEO for YouTube Videos – Get Found  Increase Views

It is all about keywords. Optimizing YouTube videos is no different, you want to focus on incorporating (but not spamming) your keywords into the different components of YouTube videos. When I managed Householdhacker now over 300 million views these are tactics I used that worked very well. The main areas to incorporate your target keywords are:

1. Video File Name

For SEO purposes, it is important that the video file name be descriptive of what the video is about. For example, the video file for a food cooking video may be intro-to-food-for-guests.mov

2. Video Title

When determining the title for your YouTube video, focus on using relevant keywords that match the content in the video. Always keep the title below 70 characters. If the title of the video is more than 70 characters long it will get cut off in search results. Always make sure your YouTube video titles are:

Under 70 characters                           Descriptive                         Incorporate target keywords.
This video I did a cameo and keywords for gets 4,000 views a day 18 months later 800,000!

3. Video Description

The description for your video will appear in search results to entice users to view your video. Similar to meta descriptions on website pages, YouTube only shows a limited number of characters in search results. In YouTube search results, only the  first 160 characters will appear with your video.  Within the first 160 characters of the video description, focus on incorporating keywords while maintaining a natural voice and enticing users to choose your video to watch.

Your full video descriptions can be longer, to provide more detail to viewers who select to watch the video, but don’t go overboard. Rather, try to keep the entire description below 300 characters. One of the most important components of a video description is the inclusion of a link back to your website. If possible, add a link to a page on your website with corresponding information, instead of the homepage.

4. Video Tags and Categories

Video categories and tags are CRITICAL. By selecting the most appropriate tags and categories your video will show up along side other relevant content, and more likely to reach your target audience. You would not want your video on cooking tips to show up with videos about designing websites. That is like knowingly advertising to people you know are not your target audience.
  • Categories: When adding your video to YouTube, make to to select the most relevant category that your video can belong to.
  • Tags:  Use the tag area to not only add your target keywords, but also to add the keywords that did not naturally fit into the video description. Try to add 5-7 relevant and quality tags to each video.

5. Playlists

Playlists help organize your videos by topic. When creating playlists, make sure to pay close attention to the playlist title because it is a highly weighted factor for search results. Playlist titles should be short, descriptive, and keyword focused. Don’t forget to write an engaging description of  the playlist to entice searchers. Playlist descriptions are also a factor in search rankings.
Optimizing your YouTube videos is just the first step in building a successful YouTube community for your fans, customers, and potential customers. In upcoming blog posts, I will focus on the power of adding annotations to your videos, branding your YouTube page, and promoting your page.
Hope these tips help I know they did incredibly well for me in helping make and take part in over 61 viral videos.

IF YOU WANT TO JOIN ME http://www.empowernetwork.com/readytorelease.php?id=jmhhacker
It isn't that I just accomplished 1 or 2 heck even 3 4 5 6 7 or 8 it is that I have surpassed every goal well over 20 in regards to Social Media and now I make a VERY good living working for my self and helping others. OH and by the way just ask about 100 people if I have helped them many of you reading this already know who you are

Now what is the point of this article....well I believe if I or anyone fro that matter is going to be online 8-16 hrs a day they better be using as a way to benefit themselves personally. I can at least admit it I know many that still can't but I can see plain as day the objectives.

I embrace what I do. Influence and Illuminati

Influence gets its core in astrology.  Centuries later the idea of being “under the influence” took on a wholly different meaning. communication.”

The idea was that “opinion leaders” "those in control" or "THEY" filter information between the mass media and US, and it was their encounters with discussion among those elite “influentials” about new information that really drove the way citizens formed opinions and made decisions. The whole illuminati thing!! The scholars’ insight was that individuals are influenced more by the people with whom they interact than by the messages they get from mass media. The theory was accepted by marketers, political practitioners, communications gurus, public health advocates, and those who study  innovation and ideas.

One of the many disruptions caused by the digital age has been to the two-step theory.  The digital disruption has not challenged a core tenet of two-step proponents that influence flows from encounters with others. But three revolutions in the digital space have brought new kinds of actors, new kinds of encounters, and new kinds of information into the influence marketplace.first revolution is the rise of the Internet, especially broadband connections. Today is an unprecedented explosion of storytelling and influence. Sometimes the influence is felt through individual interactions; at other times the sheer weight of anonymous crowds does the job. And “influentials” do not necessarily come with credentials.

Amateur experts are much in evidence in every field. I AM ONE!! Also some of the most important new influencers in this world are machine algorithms that sort through all this digital content to try to make sense of it. Influence is embedded in Google’s PageRank. The second is tied to the rise of mobile devices and mobile connections. At this moment, 84 percent of American adults and 80 percent of teenagers have cell phones, more than half of adults have laptops with mobile ties, and 11 percent have tablet computers.  63 percent of adults connect to the Internet on the fly.

Mobile connectivity has elevated the importance of just-intime searches and real-time information and insight. As people’s expectations about the availability of others and of information adjust to this always-on reality, influence is exercised in the tap on an app. Decisions and actions that depend on information exchanges can now be much more spur of the moment than in the past. The third revolution relates to social networking sites themselves. Social networks (bunches of friends and acquaintances) have been around forever.

The rise of Facebook in the middle of 2000s has changed information flows through networks and reconfigured influence inside networks. One of the ways in which people cope with information overload is to rely more heavily on others in their social networks to alert them to news of all kinds (big cultural stuff as well as social tidbits), help them evaluate information that is confusing, and become consumers of information that is generated in social media. KLOUT!!!!

There are fortunes to be made in analyzing the data generated by humans and machines to determine how people direct their attention, what messages make a difference as they decide what to do, which interventions through what channels change harmful behavior, and which past activities predict future actions.

If people feel stalked or misunderstood or manipulated as these explorations are under way, the whole enterprise will come crashing down. . Assuming the research is done sensitively and correctly, it is likely that the insights will lead to conclusions that influence can be understood in the same way we are learning to understand say any disease. SO I begin my journey into KLOUT come along with me....
