Klout, Bing and Search Results

Let's just say being ranked 5th in the world in Klout influence about a year ago didn't hurt! Read on to see how you can use Klout to benefit your business.

Klout and Microsoft partnered up to allow you to verify and manage how you appear in Bing search results.

You must have your LinkedIn account connected and on Bing, then you will be in search results with social icons and professional accomplishments.

If you have a Klout account, either business or individual, you can connect your profile to BING here.


What are the benefits?


This feature allows brands to reach potential customers. Basically you get better online visibility (Who doesn't want that if you own a business?)

For SEO it doesn't require simply Google alone. Let's face it when you hear SEO Google is the king so it is nice to have other avenues to have an impact.

This feature can only increase reputation as well as reach for clients.

Connect all your social profiles to Bing using Klout.

Using Klout you can integrate search results into your overall score.  Basically it is a way to measure real world influence. This can only help and in case you missed it or have not connected yet do so HERE

Here are a few results when I search myself.

Search is how you are found by other people or possible clients. This feature allows anyone who signs up on Klout to show how they appear in results and social profiles.

Now we can share our awards and important posts on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, when people search for you. Important images or news on you or your company are more easily seen.

Not a bad image for people to find below of my search results. I would be impressed if I found this on someone else. You never know who may come across your info and lead to business.

I know for me personally I have been a promoter and user of Klout since I began my company and let's say business is good.

So sign up for Klout then connect your LinkedIn profile and you will be able to set up your BING results. Here are images I found when I did my search each leading to an article or profile. Free PR!!

Then when anyone looks you up on Bing, your info will be displayed next to the search results and will have your social profiles, LinkedIn profile, Klout score even twitter and instagram posts.

Below are my video results I didn't even know existed in search! Pretty cool! They include any video that had the tag JMHHACKER whether made by me or not.

You can control what is found by editing your public LinkedIn profile. You can also turn off the display of Twitter and Instagram moments on Bing.

Instagram users prefer commenting over liking

I found personally a roughly 4 to 1 difference in interaction when commenting on others pics then liking.
 
So if you take the time to comment on someone else’s profile, they are more likely to come back and not just comment on your photo, but they are 401% more likely to follow you than if you just liked their photo.

Liking other people’s photos causes you to receive more followers and likes

I then did an experiment and remember I am a numbers guy. I liked 100 random photos a day for 2 weeks and found without following those people 26 percent liked a photo back and 11 percent followed me.
 
By analyzing my account data on Statigr.am I learned that by liking 100s of photos from individuals that weren’t my followers, not only did it cause my follower count to increase, but it also caused people from outside my friend network to like my photos.

TIMING TIMING TIMING

I analyzed over 40 accts for this data. Monday at 6pm Eastern is the best time to post a photo. That is when you are most likely to get the most amount of comments and likes on your photos.
The second most popular time to post a photo is either on Wednesday or Thursday at 4pm Eastern.

Personal pics or showing off a bit!

Looked over 1000 photos, images that are about lifestyle (fancy cars, homes, living a luxurious life) or that are personal tend to get the most engagement. Photos that don’t contain either of those two elements tend to get 11.4% less likes.


 

Combine your images

Images like the one above are multiple images, combined into one. You can create them through apps like Diptic.They get 25 percent more likes and 30 percent more comments.
If you want to get the most traction with your photos, take the extra time to take multiple shots, and then combine them into 1 image.

 

 

REALITY

If you want to grow your account by a few hundred followers a day, the best way is to just randomly like thousands of images a day. This is a tedious task, but as you can see from the growth of my account, it works really well. 

Now because I put in my dues I hired someone to do that for me but it works nonetheless.
